Rindge proposes $5.67M budget with police wage increases

NH RINDGE — Rindge's Board of Selectmen opened a public hearing on the proposed $5.67M 2026 budget. The budget represents a $182,118 increase over the 2025 default and includes approximately $19,000 in police wage increases to bring starting salaries to New Hampshire average, according to Police Chief Rachel Malynowski. Selectman Larry Cleveland warned that rejecting the budget would eliminate raises for all town employees, while resident Tina Sbrega urged longer-term retention planning.
The board unanimously accepted $1,818 in police donations and deferred final approval to the following week.
