Agendas & · Meeting of July 29, 2026

NH RINDGE — Rindge selectboard votes unanimously to process 96 tax abatement applications as process concerns surface. The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved denying 53 abatements, partially granting 14, and granting 29 as prepared by assessing firm Avitar, with Town Administrator Max Vandervliet noting fewer than 10 abatements remain for the August 12 meeting. In citizens' forum, Assessing Clerk Jennifer Helsel described legal requirements for adjustments and extensive phone counseling with property owners, while residents questioned the lack of a board of assessors and limited accessibility to assessing personnel.

Those dissatisfied may appeal through the Board of Tax and Land Appeals or Superior Court.
