Selectmen approve road paving bid and three AED purchases

NH RINDGE — Rindge Board of Selectmen approves automated external defibrillator purchases and road paving contract. The selectmen unanimously approved a $3,192 purchase of three AEDs for town buildings, with the Fire Department assuming responsibility for maintenance and inspection. Vice Chair Bob Hamilton secured approval of a $103.45-per-ton paving bid from PJ Keating to resurface 2.4 miles of roads, passing 2-0-1 with Selectman Tom Coneys abstaining over costs.
Chairman Larry Cleveland and Hamilton cited season timing and durability concerns in rejecting Coneys' proposal to use premium chip sealant. The board unanimously approved a permit for the Conant Middle High School graduation ceremony at Franklin Pierce University Field House on June 12. The Ward Trust Fund voted to contribute $35,000 toward Meeting House roof repairs.
