Rindge ZBA denies variance, applicant withdraws in second request
Agendas & · Meeting of June 23, 2026
NH RINDGE — Rindge ZBA denies variances in fractious session. The Zoning Board voted 4-1 to deny a variance from Alvah Reida to subdivide a Village District property (Tax Map 25, Lot 2) into a 147-foot-frontage lot, with Chairman George Carmichael arguing the applicant failed to demonstrate hardship and the proposal violated the voter-approved 250-foot frontage standard. A second applicant, Old Dog LLC, withdrew its variance request during deliberations after similar objections emerged.
The board separately voted 5-0 to deny a rehearing request on an earlier wetlands conservation case.
