Rindge conservation commission allocates $1,500 for invasive knotwood treatment

NH RINDGE — Rindge Conservation Commission approves $1,500 invasive knotwood treatment. The eight-member commission unanimously voted to spend up to $1,500 treating Japanese knotwood at four town conservation locations, with treatment costs between $400 and $750 per site per season. Commission member Deni Dickler advised that summer and fall treatments at Tetreault Park are needed to prevent the invasive species from spreading further.
The commission also addressed motorized vehicle trespassing at Mattabeseck and utility-company access to conservation lands without prior authorization, with Commission member Richard Mellor working with town administration to establish preauthorization requirements for utilities.
