Conservation Commission · Meeting of August 27, 2026

NH RINDGE — Rindge Conservation Commission approved $600 for hemlock woolly adelgid treatment of affected trees in local forests. Member Mellor moved and member Lefebvre seconded the motion, targeting trees found on the blue trail in Converse Meadow and Town Forest following a site visit by Drouin and Mellor. The commission discussed but did not vote on a longer-term biological control option involving release of laricobius nigrinus beetles at $10,000 for 1,000 beetles scheduled for fall, with expectation of repeat releases over three years.

Consultant Tom Peragallo presented updates on proposed Planning Board wetlands ordinance changes, focusing discussion on current 100-foot setback requirements and alternative septic system technology approvals.
